Eurozine at the European Social Forum, Malmö

The 2008 European Social Forum will take place in Malmö, Sweden, from 17 to 21 September. At Café Eurozine, visitors to the ESF will be able to read issues of Eurozine partner journals and take part in discussions over a cup of coffee. Café Eurozine aims to revitalize the European Enlightenment tradition of bringing together cultural and political debate with the relaxing atmosphere of the coffeehouse!
"Creating a new European public sphere through cultural journals": On Thursday 18 September, 15:00-17:00, Café Eurozine will host a seminar at which editors of Eurozine partner journals will discuss the role that Eurozine as a network of cultural journals can play in the creation of a European public sphere. Participants: Andreas Harbsmeier (former editor of Lettre internationale, Denmark); Olav Fumarola Unsgaard (editor of Fronesis, Sweden) and Peter Lodenius (editor of Ny Tid, Finland).
