Recent Event


ESF is the regional counterpart of World Social Forum. It was first held in Florence 2002, lastly in Athens 2006.


Nearly 10,000 people from across Europe took part in hundreds of political and cultural events over four days. The 2008 ESF has created a lot of exiting initiatives, from networking towards the Climate summit in Copenhagen 2009 to campaigns for labour rights, common welfare and a real social Europe.
